In other countries, people may have free reign to do whatever they like within their apartment, but in Japan people generally can't make changes to the interiors of their rooms. Please keep this in mind so you are not charged by your landlord when it is time to move out of the apartment.
Also, when buying furniture for your apartment, please think about the measurements of your doorways! In many cases, the doorways and entrance are not as wide as the inside of the apartment.
For example, if you buy a couch or bed and take the measurements of the room without taking the measurements of the entrance you may not be able to fit the couch or bed through the door. Rather than waste all of that money and energy, please be sure to measure your doorways carefully. |
