TB -- Hi Marc! Can you tell us a little bit about what you are doing in Tokyo?
Marc -- Sure. I’m a software engineer / technical consultant who came here to assist one of our clients in the deployment of our product. I was dying to know Asia better and it’s a dream that came true for me!
TB -- And how are you enjoying Tokyo so far?
Marc -- It's great so far. I feel like things have happened so fast that I haven't had time to worry about how they would go, or how adjusting would be. Maybe it's better this way!
TB -- How did you find out about Transborders? And how did you find a room?
Marc -- Actually, the immigration lawyer who helped me get a visa to work in Japan recommended Transborders. So, I sent an email, and took care of everything from France. I knew that I wanted to live close to the office, to avoid the notorious "Tokyo commute" I had heard about, so I told Transborders what I wanted, and they got back to me really quickly with a few options for monthly rental apartments. I actually only got to see the pictures of the apartments, but saw one that looked really great and we started the process of applying for it and signing the contract.
TB -- That’s great that it all worked out! How do you like the room?
Marc -- It is exactly what I wanted for my one year stay in Tokyo. It is very clean and came furnished with amenities. I was a little unsure of what exactly came with the room in terms of amenities, so I ended up having to by things like dishes and bath towels. Otherwise, it was very easy for me to settle into life in Tokyo. Transborders gave me exactly what I want: a quick answer regarding housing options within the area of Tokyo station for a foreigner like me staying for only a year. I’m very thankful for the service I experienced and the flat that I live in.
