Hello, my name is Sakiko Tanaka, CEO of Transborders.
Welcome to Japan, and thank you for visiting us at Transborders’ website!

Are you currently preparing to come to Japan? Or are you already in Japan, looking for your next apartment and housing to live? Since I launched Transborders, I have had opportunities to meet many different people from around the world, and truly enjoy the work that I do.

I have been taught many things from people I have met through Transborders, including matters of high specialization from international students and researchers, views on the peculiar Japanese culture, and perception on the distinct tradition and customs of Japanese business practices. I have had so many learning from my encounters that I could publish a book through my surprises and findings.

I am truly happy when I learn that international visitors enjoyed their experience in Japan, and that foreigners want to stay in Japan longer to further pursue their research, education, and other life goals.

We at Transborders listen very carefully to each of our customers’ needs and conditions, and provide help and support to find their desired apartments and housing in Tokyo. All of our staff and I are at least bilingual, and can offer our support in English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

韓国語を担当している朴です。１０年以上前の事になりますが、日本語学校で日本語を学び始めて間もないとき、レストランでバイトをしていたんですが、日本語があまり出来ないプレッシャーから寝言でよく＜いらっしゃいませ！＞を叫んでいました。＾＾今は、小学生と保育園に通う二児の母です。＞＜

10년도 전 얘기인데요,
일본어학교에서 일본어를 배우기 시작했을 무렵,
레스토랑에서 아르바이트를 하고 있었는데
일본어를 거의 못하던 시절인지라
잠꼬대로 <이랏샤이마세>(어서오세요)를 외치곤 했답니다.＾＾
지금은 소학교와 보육원을 다니는 두아이의 엄마가 되었습니다.＞＜

皆さんこんにちは。韓国語、英語を担当している姜です。
トランスボーダーズではたくさんの国や地域出身の留学生をはじめとした、外国の方々との出会いがあり、住まいを選ぶという大事な作業をお手伝いできることに、日々とてもやりがいを感じています。外国で賃貸物件を探したり契約したりするということは、言葉の面だけでなく、様々な習慣の違いから戸惑うことも多いかと思います。私自身も留学生として、海外に住んだ経験があり、住まいに関することだけでなく、不安に思ったり困ったりしたことがいろいろありました。そういった自身の経験を活かしながら、じっくりとお話を聞き、皆さんの日本での生活がより思い出深く、快適なものになるように、これからも努力を続けていきたいと思います。

트랜스보더즈에서는 여러국가 및 지역 출신의 유학생을 비롯한 외국인 여러분과의 만남이 있습니다. 특히나 그런 외국인분들의 거주찾기라고 하는 중요한 작업을 도와드릴 수 있다는 점이 매일매일 커다란 보람으로 느끼고 있습니다. 외국에서 임대물건을 찾고 계약하고 하는 일련의 일들은, 언어에서뿐만 아니라 다양한 습관의 차이로부터 당황하는 경우들이 많이 있습니다. 저자신도 유학생 자격으로 해외에서 거주한 경험이 있어 단순히 거주뿐만이 아닌 여러가지 면에서 불안해하거나 곤란한 경험을 한 적이 많았습니다. 그러한 자신의 경험을 바탕으로 차근차근 어려분의 이야기를 전해들으면서, 여러분의 일본에서의 생활이 한층더 유익하고 의미있으며 쾌적한 생활이 될 수 있도록 앞으로도 노력해나가겠습니다.

Hello! My name is Myung Hee Kang. I am a Korean born and raised in Japan. I take care of our English and Korean speaking customers.
I am energized for being able to meet international students and people from many different regions and countries, and for having opportunities to help and support our customers’ apartment and housing search, important decisions for each of our customers.
Finding and contracting for apartments and housing to rent can be troublesome not only because of language difficulties, but also because of a variety of customary differences.
I have previously lived overseas as an international student, and have had difficulties not only with finding apartments and housing but also with other things when settling in.
By reflecting upon my personal experiences, I do my best to listen extensively to my customers, and to help provide a memorable and pleasant living experience in Japan.
